About

Hello.

I’m sure you can tell by the website title that my name is Ethan Engeseth. The name “Ethan” is of Hebrew origin and means “strength” and “wisdom”. “Engeseth” is old Irish and I have no idea what it means. Pretty cool, right?

After dabbling with a camcorder in my high school Broadcasting classes I decided to try my hand at photography and filmmaking. Three years of college later and I received my B.F.A. in Cinematography and Acting. I am currently working in video production where I have the opportunity to do professional photo and video work for clients all over the country.

As a photographer and a filmmaker, I believe it is not only my job to capture your emotion and your spirit but to also tell a captivating story. My photography has always been a pursuit of personal and artistic growth and it remains so.

With my magnificent artistic vision and your indelible charm and striking charisma, the world is our canvas. I’m excited to work with you.

My inspiration (if you’re curious).

In my studies, I have always been drawn to the paintings and art movements of the Enlightenment Era. Specifically, I draw my inspiration from the Baroque, Rococo, and Neo-classicism art movements. Landscapes enhance the mood of my art as I allow the scenery to have just as much character as the subject. My photography is more than capturing people; it’s about capturing the human condition and the environment in which we endure it.
